Achalgarh Fort
Achalgarh Fort is located at a distance of 8 km from Mt. Abu. In the 14th century, the ruler of the area Rana Kumbha constructed the fort.the main attraction of the fort lies inside the premises i.e. some beautiful Jain temples. Achaleswar Mahadev temple built in 1412 A.D. and Kantinath Jain Temple built in 1513 A.D. are the two significant among all the temples.
Achleshwar Temple
Nandi is made up of five metals i.e. gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc and weighs more than 4 Tonnes is the main attraction of the temple. As per legends the Achleshwar temple was built around a toe print of Lord Shiva in the 9th century. Achleshwar temple is also said to contain a natural Shivalinga or phallic form of Lord Shiva.
Dilwara Temple
Dilwara temple is a pious Jain pilgrimage center and one of the most famous and beautiful Jain temple in the world. The architecture and stone carvings showcases the master work of arts by the craftsmen of the period. The architectural brilliance and the grandeur of human craftsmanship can be viewed in the interior decoration of the temple. In the period between 11th to 13th centuries A.D these temples were built. The ornamental details carved out of marble on the ceilings and on the pillars are extremely beautiful. According the history the marble stones that were used in making the temple were transported on elephant backs from the Arasoori Hills. Shri Mahaveer Swami Temple, Shri AdiNath or Vimal Vasahi, Shri ParshavNath or Khartar Vasahi, Shri Rishabdaoji or Peethalhar and Shri NemiNathJi e or Luna Vasahi Temples are the five portions into which the main temple is divided and dedicated to five Jain Trithankaras.
Gaumukh Temple
Gaumukh Temple is considered one of the most sacred places for worship by the Hindus located at Mount Abu in Sirohi District. The pilgrim center must be visited at least once by a Hindu devotee is the belief. The travelers after passing 700 stairs will lead to the temple. `The mouth of the cow` Gau means cow and `mukh` is mouth is the literal meaning of the name of the shrine. The sacred spot of water reservoir that emerges out of the mouth of the lord is considered as the main significance of the temple.
