Largi
At an height of 957 meters and 34 km away from valley of god 'Kullu', Largi is a small hamlet providing excellent trout fishing. Few hundred metres below the famous rivers Sainj and Tirthan join the Beas. Fishing permits can be obtained from Kullu and Largi itself.
Malana
Just a short distance from the beautiful Chanderkhani Pass lies the village Malana famous for the temple of Jamlu and its distinct, social and cultural life. The village is located at an altitude of 2,652 metres and 28 km far from Kullu. Malana village is reputed to be the oldest democracy in the world in existence where all the inhabitants of the village take part in managing its affairs. It is also famous for trekking.
Manikaran
Famous for hot water springs that cure rheumatic pains Manikaran town is situated in beautiful Parbati Valley at a distance of 45km from Kullu. Parbati Valley is situated to the north- east of Kullu. Gurudwara and Ram temple offers free lodging and food is for what Manikaran is renowned for. Accommodation, telecommunication services, Primary health services and police assistance are also readily available. Temperature of water gushing out from below the rocks varies from 88°C to 94°C. As per German scientist due to the presence of radium is one of the main reasons behind the hot water springs. Rice can be cooked in twenty minutes in the hottest of springs.
Naggar
About 1,400 years the city was capital of the Kullu Rajas. It is situated at an altitude of 1,760 meters and 25 km in terms of distance. Naggar is also known for its castle and the Nicholas Roerich's Museum. A large number of famous temples in and around Naggar is present and this town is an excellent place for a longer stay. Naggar is delightfully situated on the wooded slope and commands an extensive view, especially of the North-West of the valley on the left bank of the river Beas and about three hundred meters above the river.
Pulga and Kheerganga
Pulga and Kheerganga is restful environment affords a Sylvan and peaceful retreat for body and mind located at 16 km. away from Kullu. The 'Tos Nullah' which branches off from the main Parbati valley are well worth exploration by those who favour the wilder aspects of natural scenery is prepared to camp out. Kirganga lies 10 km. from Pulga. Khirganga is also famous for hot springs.
Shoja
Shoja ( 2,650 metres ) 13 km. from Banjar, located on the Kullu side, of the Jalori Pass has marvellous scenic surroundings. Shoja is the place to be, for a break from the routine holiday of heritage, beaches and wildlife. Shoja is under development as a hill station in Himachal Pradesh as it is nature at its ultimate best. The place is fast gaining popularity because of its beauty, climate and limited tourist pressure. The entire Kullu Valley, mountains covered with snow, rivers and streams can be seen from the village.
