Bajaura
The sacred site is about 15 km. from Kullu. Vishveshwar Mahadev Temple pyramided-structured temple is positioned on the banks of the Beas River. The controlling deity is Lord Shiva. Bajaura Temple enshrines a large `yoni-lingam` and the outer sides of the shrine are decorated with the images of Goddess Durga, Lord Vishnu and Lord Ganesha.
Bajeshwar Mahadev Temple
Bajeshwar Mahadev Temple the temple is dated backed in the 8th century A.D. and is a pyramidical temple. The three large image slabs on the exterior are all of a high order of sculpture in the Indian classical (Shikara) style. This temple is situated about 200 metres from the village in a plain between the main road and the Beas river.
Bijli Mahadev Temple
One of the most striking temple in Kullu is Bijli Mahadev Temple. A panoramic view of Kulu and Paravati valleys can be seen from the temple. The temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located across the river Beas. Bijli Mahadev temple is called the 'Temple of Lightening' as it is believed that its staff attracts divine blessings, in the form of lightening, from presiding deity Lord Shiva. The temple is situated at the hilltop and shines like a needle in the sun. Situated at an altitude of 2,438 metres one can reach this temple by a tough but rewarding climb through a 6-km long trek. The temple is famous for its 20m high rod that periodically draws lightning, which shatters the stone lingam of Lord Shiva.
Camping Sight Raison
At a height of 1,433 metres and 16kms. away from Kulu, the sight is ideal for spending a quite holiday in solitary splendor and for holding youth camps. There are a large number of orchards in this part of the valley. HPTDC has log cabins for comfortable stay.
Kasol
At an altitude of 1,640 metres high and a distance of 42 km from Kullu charming and beautiful place is Kasol located. Kasol is charmingly located in an open space which slopes down to a broad expanse of clear white sand at the edge of the river. It is situated on the bank of Parbati river in the Parbati valley. The place is well known for trout fishing
Katrain
Katrain is located at an altitude of 1,463 metres and 20 km away from Kullu. Due to apple orchards near by the area, this place has acquired prominence and a fruit research station and trout hatchery is also situated.
