Baba Balak Nath Temple
The temple is at a distance of 3 km on the Graner Hill. The Mandir of Shri Baba Balak Nath, Walsall was officially declared opened by 1008 Shri Mahant Shiv Giri Ji of Guffa Shri Baba Balak Nath on 18th December 1983. The main hall is capable of accommodating approximately 1500 people; the dining hall is also roughly the same size. The main kitchen is in the basement with all the modern facilities.
Christ's Church
The Christ's Church was established as a retreat for the British army men and their families in 1842 this cantonment. The church is an attractive remnant of the Raj. It is a typical Anglican church with bewitching spires, Gothic arches and buttresses. Christ Church stands out as a magnificent creation drawing the visitor's attention with its imposing appearance. A grove of chestnut and fir trees surround this 159-year-old structure. Dedicated to St. Barnabas and St. Francis, the church has some fine stained glass windows with delicately carved borders, a sundial and lovely brass memorials. The grey stone church set amongst verdant green makes a very pretty picture. About 30 families, belonging to the Protestant sect of Christians, worship here besides the tourists visiting the town. This historic church was previously under the organisation of the Church of England when it was known as Anglican Church.
Dagshai
A sleepy hamlet called Dagshai in amidst of nestling amid the sylvan splendor of the Shivalik foothills is 50 kms from Chandigarh on the Kalka - Shimla Highway (NH-22). One of the oldest British cantonments with a unique old word charm and at the height of approximately 6000 ft. above the sea level, it boasts of a huge play field where Durand Cup football matches used to be played. The imposing buildings on the campus were built in 1876. Every building is associated with the glories of the past and appropriately an educational Institution has been establishment in them. The nearest railway station Dharmpur (Metre Gauge) is 5 Kms and Kalka (Broad Gauge) is 28 Kms from Dagshai. The District Headquarters, Solan is about 16 Kms away.
Dharampur
On the National Highway No.22 Dharampur is situated at distance of 15 kms. Dharampur has one of the best hospitals in India for the cure of tuberculosis with amidst the healthy air of the fragrant pines. The town is also connected by Kalka-Shimla railway line.
Monkey Point
Monkey point is the highest point in Kasauli located just 4km from the hill station. An excellent view of the distant plains of Chandigarh region and the river Satluj, tracing a silvery trail through the scene can be viewed from the point. On the top of the hill, a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman is also situated. According to a legend, at the end of Ramayana when Lord Hanuman was returning from the Himalayas after obtaining Sanjivany Booty or the Magical Herb, his foot touched the hill and thus the top of hill is in a foot shape. On a clear and starry night the gorgeous view of Chandigarh can be seen from the Monkey Point.
Sabathu
Sabathu is a little cantonement town. The great monument, Gurhka fort built in the early years of the 19th century is situated at an altitude of 1437 mt. A town which quartered British soldiers in the time of British Empire. A diversion road from Dharampur 15 km away leads to the Sabathu town.
