| The most sacred places of pilgrimage situated in the lofty Himalayan heights, at the height of 3133 m (10248 feet) above sea level, the preserver and falls in the religious itinerary of every devout Hindu Badrinath is a Hindu holy town and a nagar panchayat in Chamoli district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It is the most important of the four sites in India's Char Dham pilgrimage. Badrinath is one the four sacred shrines (Dham) of pilgrimage for Hindus. The other three places are Dwarka in the West, Rameshwaram in South and Puri in the East. One of the most fascinating one is the route to Badrinath, due to the lofty hilly terrain, curves and cliffs amidst the most scenically beautiful place. |

| Gusro Bugyal |
| Gusro Bugyal is a huge meadow in a mixed forest of oak and conifer and about 3 kms from Auli. At an altitude of 3056 metres above sea level Gusro Bugyal offers the panoramic view of near by peaks. Joshimath can be reach via the ropeway from Auli. And Gusro Bugyal is about 1.5 kms away from here. Chattrakund is 1 km from Gurso Bugyal, in the middle of the jungle is a small lake of sweet water. This place can be visited when visiting Gurso Bugyal. |

| Joshimath is a mesmerizing place with lovely and eye catching views of the snow mountains, greenery and pleasant weather conditions. Joshimath is also known as Jyotirmath. Joshimath is described in the ancient scriptures as Kartikeyapura, because the Katyuri kings named it after their God, Kartikeya. two rivers, the Alaknanda and the Dhauliganga, meet at the confluence of Karnaprayag, just below Joshimath. The place is located at a height of about 6,000 ft, is one of the four great "maths", or monasteries, established by the great Adi Guru Shri Shankaracharya in the 8th century AD. The Vasudeva Temple is one of the most famous Vishnu temples in north India. |

| Kwani Bugyal is located just 12 kms from Gusro Bugyal, and also is a very interesting place for the trekkers at an altitude of 3,350 metres above sea level. Every year, for trekking many tourists come here during the summer months. In Joshimath, Trekking camps are organized where one can hire porters, guides, cooks and camping equipments. |

| Saildhar Tapovan |
| On the Joshimath road, Saildhar Tapovan is a small village located about 15 kms from Auli. There are many hot-water springs housed in this small village. Hot water fountains are also found where the water is almost at a boiling point if one moves ahead of Saildhar Tapovan. |

| Valley of Flower |
| The Valley was introduced to the world as the Valley of Flowers by Frank S Smythe - mountaineer, explorer, botanist who camped here for several weeks in the monsoon of 1937 and did valuable exploratory work. The Valley of Flowers was declared a national park in 1982. The park stretches over an expanse of 87.50 km². The area lies on the Zanskar range of the Himalayas with the highest point in the national park being Gauri Parbat at 6,719 m above sea level. The Valley of Flowers National Park is renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and outstanding natural beauty, and is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, brown bear and blue sheep. |
