| In India Shiridi only holy place visited by both Hindus and Muslims to pay homage in the name of great saint, yogi, fakir, teacher and god many more are forms of Shiridi Sai Baba. Hindu devotees believe that Shiridi Sai Baba was an incarnation of Shiva or Dattatreya. |

| Sai means "holy one" or "saint" whereas Baba means "father", Shiridi's Sai Baba is inherently know as "holy father" or "saintly father". Sai baba tried to reconcile Hinduism and Islam, in his life and teachings. Baba practiced Hindu and Muslim rituals and lived in a mosque, was buried in a Hindu temple. "Sabka Malik Ek" ("One God governs all") is the words said by him to his followers. |

Origin of Sai Baba is completely unknown to till date. Life history of him is mystery to every one, he never relieved details like where was he born, by whom he was brought up and many more. He spoke Hindi and could not communicate in local language..... Marathi.
His followers regarded him as a saint (or even an avatar) with the power of performing miracles as after 1910 Sai Baba's fame began to spread in Mumbai and numerous people started visiting Sai baba.
On October 15, 1918 at 2.30pm Sai Baba took Mahasamadhi (departure) died on the lap of one of his devotees. According to rituals Sai baba was buried in the "Buty Wada". Later a mandir was built there known as the "Samadhi Mandir".
In Hinduism and Islamic, Sai baba is praised as one of the great deities. |

| A very sacred, powerful and important place of pilgrimage in India is Sai Baba's Shiridi. Connected by bus routes Shiridi is a well-developed town. A number of trains from Bombay and Delhi also pass through Manmad station. Shirdi is only about 58 kms. from Manmad and buses and taxis are easily available to reach there. |
