| Hanuman Temple |
| In the region of Rameshwaram, Hanuman temple is a wonderful temple. The temple describes in detail about Hanuman played a very crucial role in the time of Ramayan. The statues are carved out of the wood and they practically move like puppets revealing the incidence of Ramayana. The place where Lord Hanuman delivered the good news of having found Sita to Lord Ram with a Satchi (evidence), namely the 'Chootamani' (jewel) of Sita. It indeed looks wonderful how hanuman flies in the air with his sacred ability to fly and how that actually helped Rama when the places were tough to penetrate through. This sacred shrine lies 3 km from Ramanathaswamy Temple, on the way to Gandhamadana Parvatam. Madurai Airport and Rameswaram Railway Station are the nearest major access points. |
