Dwarkadhish Temple
Dwarkadhish Temple is an important temple of Mathura. Dwarkadhish Temple is situated in the heart of the city of Mathura and built in the year 1814. The followers of the Vallabhacharya are currently maintaining Dwarkadhish Temple. The temple is architecturally very interesting and is located in the eastern part of Mathura.
Gokul Das Parikh devotee of Lord Krishna and the treasurer of the estate of Gwalior built Dwarkadhish temple dedicated to Lord Krishna. The interiors of the temple include images of the Lord Krishna, his beloved Radha and other Hindu deities is an excellent work of art. The temple carving and paintings are major attractions. During the festive days of Holi, Janmashtmi and Dipawali, the temple is a hub of activity. The structure of the temple has the glimpse of local art and architecture. The interiors boast the excellent work of art, brilliant carvings and exquisite paintings.
Gita Mandir
On the outskirts of Mathura Gita Mandir is a beautiful shrine dedicated to Lord Krishna. The temple is noted for its carvings and painting. The whole of the Bhagavad Gita is inscribed on the walls of the temple. The entire Bhagwad Gita is inscribed on a pillar called the Gita Stambh. It lies on the Mathura-Vrindavan road. The magnificent mandir was built by Birla ,one of the leading industrial powers of India .The excellent architecture of the temple attracts tourists from all over India. Beautiful carvings and paintings enhance the beauty of the temple. There is a beautiful image of Lord Krishna is present in the sanctum of the Mandir. The Gita Stabmh is also present in the temple. The temple is decorated beautifully on the auspicious occasion of Janmasthami and Holi.
Govardhan Hill
Govardhan is a hill located near the town of Vrindavan in India, considered as sacred by a number of traditions within Hinduism. According to ancient Vaishnava legends, Indra was feared by human beings, and when Krishna found out, he opposed the performance of sacrificial worship for Indra. He emphasized the importance of karma and doing ones duty. This supposedly made Indra angry at the boy Krishna an incarnation of the Supreme God according to the Bhagavata Purana.
Indra thus invoked many clouds to appear in the sky and schemed to flood the region with rains lasting for seven days and seven nights. Krishna in reply then lifted Govardhan hill, under which all the animals and people of the region took shelter, safe from the rains of Indra's fury. Ultimately, Indra accepted defeat, and after praying to Krishna.

A great number of pilgrims visit
Govardhan each year and perform parikrama, circulating around the area of the hill whilst praying, singing or performing japa meditation.
Government Museum
The Government Museum of Mathura houses an excellent collection of sculptures belonging to the ancient Mathura school of art is one of the leading museums. In the year 1874, Sir F.S. Growse originally founded this museum. Research, study and the preservation of the heritage left by the Mathura School of Sculpture is also centered in Mathura Museum is considered one of the leading centers. The museum also has a magnificent collection of gold, silver and copper coins, clay seals, ancient pottery, paintings and bronzes among others.
The building of the museum is beautiful sight and worth visiting and octagonal in shape, made out of the red-sandstone. The most splendid collection of Kushana sculptures in the country and collections of stone sculpture and terracotta are displayed in the museum where most of them belong to the Kushana period.
