| Archaeological Museum |
| In the year 1917 with an objective to preserve the precious elements the archaeological museum was established. Several galleries displaying 13463 antiquities are housed in the museum. Trailokya Vijay, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Maitreya, Buddha in Varad, Dharmachakra and Bhumisparsh posture, Samantbhadra, Parshvanath and Nagaraj sculptures are displayed in the main hall including the other sixteen sculptures. 57 images and sculptures including Khasarpana, Heruka, Marichi, Vagesvari, Vaishali-mircle, Buddha in varad mudra, miracle of Sraswasti, Surya, Lakshmi, Ganesh, Shiva-Parvati, Kuber and Rishabhanath are housed in the First gallery. Different types of elements like terracotta, stuccos, iron implements and inscriptions are placed in the second gallery. The images related to Buddhist and Bramhanical religion were preserved in the third gallery. The museum is open on all days from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm leaving Fridays. |

| Hieun Tsang Memorial Hall |
| In the memory of the famous Chinese traveler Hieun Tsang, the Hieun Tsang Memorial is erected and this hall is one of the major tourist attractions in Nalanda. In the year 633 AD, Hiuen Tsang came to study Buddhism and mysticism in India during the days of Nalanda University. |

At the place of the present of memorial hall where Hieun Tsang learned Yoga and Acharya Shil Bhadra was the master. Another construction was established later on when the memorial hall was destroyed in the memory of Hiuen Tsang. Relics, golden and sandalwood statues of Lord Buddha, 224 books of the sutras, 192 Shastras, 15 works of the Sthavira schools, 67 books of the Sarvastivada School, and 17 works of the Kasyapiya school were the some of the collections of Hieun Tsang. |

| Kundalpur |
Kundalpur is the birth place of the first and most important disciple of Lord Mahavir Gutamswamiji. Jain devotees from different parts of the country are attracted to the place. To preach his religious teachings, Lord Mahavir had come here several times. In ancient times, Kundalpur and Nalanda were two important suburbs of Rajgir. During the rule of King Kumar Gupta, from 424 BC to 454 BC Kundalpur was a Buddhist monastery. Later with the establishment of Nalanda University it became a famous center of Buddhist studies.

| Nav Nalanda Vihar |
| In Nalanda, Nav Nalanda Vihar is a modern center for Buddhist studies established by Bihar Government in 1951. It strives to keep the ancient tradition of spreading knowledge alive. The Bihar government has set up this institute that teaches Pali near the ancient university. From different countries such as Sri Lanka, Japan, Korea, Tibet, and Bhutan a large number of students come here for study and research. In the institute Indian as well as foreign students study and do research work on Buddhism and Pali, which was a widely used language in the ancient times. |

| Surya Mandir |

An ancient temple, Surya temple is a popular attraction in Nalanda. The temple is just located beside the University premises. A Buddhist deity is present inside the temple premises along with the idols of many Hindu gods and goddess. The five feet high idol of Goddess Parvati is the most attractive icon in the temple. The Chhath Puja, sun worship is held twice a year in "Vaishakha" and "Kartika" at Surya Temple.
